Overview

Our client, a well-established commercial general contractor , is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations for ground-up retail and industrial projects in the Austin area.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in tilt-wall and commercial construction , excellent coordination skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile projects while leading experienced crews and subcontractors on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all field construction activities and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractor performance, site logistics, and safety compliance .
• Manage project schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct site meetings, inspections, and maintain daily field reports and documentation.
• Ensure quality control standards are met throughout all phases of construction.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and support proactive problem-solving on site.
• Oversee materials deliveries, inspections, and all jobsite coordination efforts.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience as a Superintendent in ground-up commercial or tilt-wall construction .
• Proven background managing retail, warehouse, or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and safety practices.
• Background in the trades or military leadership a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and accountability.
• Proficient in project management tools and daily reporting systems.
