Summary: Performs duties described in the Service Contract Act Directory of Occupations under SERVICE ORDER DISPATCHER. May perform duties of other classifications that have a pay rate equal to or lower than the employee's current rate.
Duties/Essential Functions: Receives, records, and distributes work orders to service crews upon customers' requests for service in two different systems. Records information, such as name, address, article to be repaired, or service to be rendered. Prepares work order and distributes to service crew. Ensures requests are within scope of contract. Schedules service calls and dispatches service crew. Provides customer service to insure satisfactory performance of service. Keeps record of service calls and work orders. May dispatch orders and relay messages and special instructions to mobile crews and other departments. May call or write the customer to insure satisfactory performance of service. Create calls and records completion data in multiple data systems such as: Shops, Status, Completion Comments, Meter Reading, and Job Task Readings.
