FINISHER/PAINTER - MANUFACTURING COMPANY

MUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL PAINTING/FINISHING EXPERIENCE. THIS IS NOT A DRYWALL OR HOUSE PAINTER POSITION.

This position will become available very soon due to the retirement of a 20+ year employee.

Responsible for applying paints, stains, and coatings to various CABINET surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our industry standards. This position is vital to maintaining the aesthetic appeal and durability of our products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
• Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Responsible for making customer samples and matching all stain colors, paint colors and different luster of finishes.
• Responsible for all prep work including but not limited to sanding and/or polishing of wood and metal.
• Responsible for repairing scratches, scraps or other damages to paint, stain, or finishes.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications set by the company.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter in industrial or commercial settings.
• Working knowledge of all woods, veneers, and metals as it relates to what primers, paints, stains, dyes, toners and finishes will work with each product.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
• Ability to read tape measure.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications accurately.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Must have knowledge of tools of the trade including but not limited to; pressure, spray and glue pots, as well as spray guns. Performs repairs.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and make appropriate decisions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Other related duties as required and assigned.
