Job Description

HR Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including: Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Compensation, Compliance, Safety, and Learning and Development. You'll work closely with experienced HR professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that impact our organization. In addition to hands-on experience, you'll gain exposure to employee lifecycle processes, networking opportunities and development of interpersonal and technical skills through mentorship and real-world application.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate new hire onboarding
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee information
  • Assist in posting job openings and screening resumes
  • Create social media campaigns for open positions
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires
  • Help maintain employee records and HR databases
  • Assist with HR compliance tasks such as: internal and external auditing, processing records for subpoenas and credentialing
  • Review of employee labor distributions, job assignment creation and assisting in process documentation creation
  • Contribute to HR reporting and analytics
  • Support development of training materials and feedback collection
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team
  • Research and present findings on HR trends or best practices

Job Requirements:

Education Required (Minimum level of education):

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field

Verbal and Written Skills Required to perform the Job:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:

  • Basic understanding of labor laws and HR policies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Social Media
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team environment
