Our client, a leader in the Automotive and engineering sector, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technical Writer 1 to join their dynamic team. As a vital part of the Documentation Department supporting technical teams, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring the creation of clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation.

Job Title: Technical Writer 1

Location: Clawson, MI

Pay Range: $25-$27 per hour

What's the Job?

• This position is responsible for creating time studies for published mechanical service procedures.
• Apply automotive knowledge and utilize multiple source files in order to identify appropriate content for use in publications
• Support Labor Time Guide impacted special projects.
• Support meetings as required

What's Needed?

• BS Degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent technical experience. 
• 3-5 years of automotive technician experience is preferred.
• Writing services information, they could still be in consideration for the position.
• looking for someone who has heavy tech experience compared to light tech.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
